Marsh Sketches
The setting for much of Worm in the Blood is a stretch of urbane wasteland, which I based on the Lee valley marshes that lie between Walthamstow and Clapton close to my home in North East London. I visited the marsh and made some sketches of details of the vegetation there in order to get a feel of the place.
