Often when I'm planning a book, I make rough sketches of some of the characters or maps and plans of the setting. These drawings help me get to know the fictional places and people I'm working with.
Maddie Palmer
This is a very early quick sketch I made when I was planning The Memory Prisoner. This is how I imagined Maddie Palmer, the main character, who also appears in The House of Eyes.
